The Drug & Variety Store of J Manville was forcibly entered Monday night by cutting out 4 panes of glass in the door sash & forcing open the desk & escaped with a box of money $100. They left the box in the St near Mr Barrs store. A pocket book which they also took was found on the Crawfish bridge. Then they went to Mr Meyers Hotel & burglariously entered & took 7c & a coffee pot. Then entered another tavern kept by Mr Groover and found a watch & $8. They wound up in the dwelling house of Mr Whipple. This was the first burglary in Jeff. |
