1882-01-12     Charles Parks, who has so long been known as the Tinner at Waldo's, has started a shop of his own in the bldg recently occupied as a millinery by Miss Dorsey, near Mrs Muck's Meat Market.

1882-01-19     Ordinance: Ice removal must be fenced in & only taken on the Rock River-commencing near the Rock River Bridge & running North to within 20' of Darling St, & from Heimerls' Tannery North to Washington St. On the Crawfish- commencing at the first curve, near blk 18, West Jeff, West to blk 6, savages addition.
1882-01-19     Died: Mrs James Kirkland, 82, Chicago, lived some years in Jeff prior to 1875. Her grandson, Robert, lives in Jeff
1882-01-19     Finally 15 below & most ice houses are filled.
1882-01-26     Died: Maria Brayton, 83, Aztalan, one child survives her in Jeff, Mrs Sawin.
1882-01-26     The Crawfish bridge is being overhauled & repaired.
1882-01-26     Henry Puerner has taken possession of the Blacksmith shop opposite the Jail, recently vacated by John Fritch.
1882-01-26     Charles Parks has started a tin shop on Main St, next door North of Mrs Mucks Meat Market.
1882-01-26     FA Squire, dentist, office at the residence on the corner of Dodge & 3rd Sts.
1882-02-01     For Rent: The old PO bldg, at present occupied by Keller & Co, JFW Meyer.
1882-02-02     The Supervisors should straighten out the road to the Jct, North of this city. At present there is no way of getting there except by RR track.
