1886-01-21     The Banner has a new dress. Local news is written in a different format.
1886-01-21     Henry Schroeder has established a signal office in connection with his barber shop & saloon to guide weary travelers in foggy & stormy times. A Brown has secured as chief engineer & regularly blows his foghorn.
1886-01-21     Next spring, Brown & Stiel will greatly increase their facilities for the mfg of brick. The RR has decided to build them a side track, West of the Main track, on the South side of the Rock River, which will better enable them to compete for brick that are shipped by rail. They have cleared the grounds already & will move their molding machines so as to be ready for work as soon as the season opens.
1886-01-21     JL Cook now occupies quarters in Chas F Bullwinkels former residence.
1886-01-21     Michael Mattes has sold his property on Main St, known as the Hager place, to Lorenz Meyer for $1,250.
