The contract for bldg the new Iron Bridge was let to the Clinton Bridge & Iron Co, of Clinton, Iowa, for $8,100. The bridge is to be a 2 span & is to be completed with abutments & piers for the price stipulated. The center piers will be iron cylinders filled with concrete. Work on the structure will commence at once & must be completed by May 1st, 1892. The contract has a clause that travel will not be delayed more than 15 days during its construction. |
